Get to know the Role:

You will be focus on full spectrum of payroll activities as well as HR Administration support and other related HR aspects.


The day-to-day activities:

Payroll

  • Responsible for full spectrum of monthly payroll functions which includes preparation and processing monthly payroll in an efficient, accurate and timely manner by working very closely with the local payroll vendor provider.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy, timely payments and compliance with all statutory requirements, such as EPF, Socso, EIS and Income Tax.
  • Ensure the employee payroll and ad-hoc payments are handled in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
  • Processes General Ledger postings of payroll related entries to Finance and ensure the postings are charged correctly.
  • Involves and ensure accurate preparation of annual tax and statutory reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and audits and payroll related legislation by understanding and keep abreast with change in local laws regulating compensation practices.
  • Attend to employee enquiries and be the subject matter expert on payroll related matters.
  • Maintain country payroll guidelines such as policies, process and procedures.

HR Administration

  • Provide professional end-to-end HR Administration service to support employee life cycle procedures and processes that are considered as adding value, measurable, directly tied to business objectives and aimed at increasing employee success and satisfaction.
  • Ensure employee data and record is accurate at all times by updating Workday system and maintain employee files in accordance with Data Protection regulations.
  • Support the administration of employee flex benefits, medical insurance, PA & TL insurance and attend to employee enquiries.
  • Prepare and generate all necessary letters for employee confirmation, transfer, resignation and any other relevant letters as and when required.
  • Respond to employee requests by ensuring that all advice provided is consistent, aligned with business principles, policies, procedures and current local legislation; know when to escalate.
  • Ensure compliance to audit, legal and HR policy and procedural requirements at all times.
  • Assist in other ad-hoc duties as may be assigned from time to time

The must haves:

  • Strong payroll knowledge with up to date knowledge of HR policies, employment regulations and legislation and best practices.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changing environment.
  • Ability to deliver the scope of services independently and effectively, responsible and able to meet challenging timelines.
  • A team player with pleasant personality and good attitude.
  • Good communication skills, proactive and able to work under pressure.
  • Excellent knowledge of computer skill including MS Office and MS Excel and tech savvy.
  • Possess at least a Bachelor's degree in related field with a minimum of 4 years working experience in payroll processing and knowledge in statutory requirement is a must. Prior experience in managing over 500 employees would be an advantage.
